The UAE Lottery held its 100th Lucky Day draw on Saturday 17 October 2026. Draw No. 261017 produced no grand prize winner, but the lottery used the milestone to publish its running totals: more than Dh300 million awarded, 650,000 winning tickets and 12 millionaires, according to Gulf News and Khaleej Times.
What the 100th draw paid
The winning numbers were 27, 17, 16, 12, 11 and 1, with 3 as the month number. Nobody matched all six plus the month number for the Dh30 million grand prize, and nobody matched the six main numbers for the Dh5 million second prize; Gulf News reported that both roll over. The Dh100,000 third prize also went unclaimed.
Three players won Dh50,000 each in the guaranteed Lucky Chance raffle. Khaleej Times counted 41 winners of Dh1,000 and 6,144 winners of Dh100. Host Diala Makki closed the show with: "We've celebrated 100 draws but the story doesn't stop here. Draw 101 is up next."
A Dh5 million win earlier in the month
Two weeks earlier there was a large winner. In Draw No. 261003 on Saturday 3 October, one player matched all six main numbers (4, 5, 12, 14, 17 and 18) to take the Dh5 million second prize, Khaleej Times reported. The same draw produced one Dh100,000 winner, 54 winners of Dh1,000 and 7,966 winners of Dh100. The winner was not named in that report.
Draws are now held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9.30pm, according to both Khaleej Times reports.
How the game got here
The Lucky Day game looks different from the one that launched. Until November 2025 its top prize was Dh100 million, drawn every other Saturday. Khaleej Times reported on 27 November 2025 that the Dh100 million jackpot would be offered for the last time on 29 November, before "major changes and new prize tiers take effect." That Dh100 million prize was won once, by Anilkumar Bolla in October 2025, and Khaleej Times describes him as the first and only Dh100 million winner.
The replacement format has a Dh30 million grand prize, a Dh5 million second prize and a guaranteed raffle, with draws twice a week. More frequent draws with smaller top prizes produce more winners to announce. Two Dh30 million grand prizes were won five weeks apart in the summer, both covered in our report on the first jackpots, and with the 3 October win there have been at least four Dh5 million second prizes.
The totals give a rough idea of pace. Asia Gaming Brief reported on 23 August that Lucky Day had awarded more than Dh280 million since launch, when Dubai resident Zenn Ariane Garceles became its third Dh5 million winner. By the 100th draw eight weeks later the figure was more than Dh300 million.
Reading the numbers honestly
Twelve millionaires and 650,000 winning tickets are both true, and they describe very different experiences. In the two October draws we checked, between 6,000 and 8,000 tickets won Dh100, a few dozen won Dh1,000, three won Dh50,000 in the raffle, and the Dh30 million grand prize rolled over both times. Most winning tickets are small wins.
The lottery does not publish total ticket sales in the reports we read, so there is no way to say from these figures what share of stakes comes back as prizes. Anyone quoting a payout percentage for the UAE Lottery should be asked where it came from.
Who can play, and who cannot
The UAE Lottery is run by The Game LLC under a licence from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, which licensed it in July 2024. It is open to UAE residents aged 18 and over, as Khaleej Times noted in its November 2025 report. The licence covers the lottery and nothing else: casino and sports betting products licensed by the GCGRA are 21+, and gambling by individuals outside the licensed products remains an offence under the UAE Penal Code, Federal Decree-Law 31/2021.
For readers elsewhere in the Gulf the position is simpler. The UAE Lottery is for UAE residents, and nothing about it changes the law in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman, where gambling by individuals is an offence.
What this means if you play from the Gulf
Our UAE licensed casinos page lists everything that holds a GCGRA licence today, the lottery included, and keeps it separate from the offshore sites in our UAE online casino guide, none of which are supervised in the UAE. A lottery ticket is still gambling, and twice-weekly draws make it easy to buy one more. If that sounds familiar, our responsible gambling page sets out the warning signs and where to get help.
