AstroPay began as a prepaid card for Latin American players who could not use their bank cards online, and that is still the job it does for the Gulf. The company is authorised as an electronic-money institution in the United Kingdom and operates an app-based wallet alongside the original prepaid card. Casinos like it because a prepaid code cannot be charged back; players like it because the casino never sees a bank card and the bank never sees a casino. What AstroPay is and how it works
There are two products under one name, and the difference matters at the cashier.
The AstroPay Card is a prepaid code with a fixed face value, normally in USD or EUR. You buy it in the AstroPay app, or from an authorised reseller, then type the 16-digit code and its value into the casino cashier. The casino redeems it instantly. It is single-use, cannot be topped up and cannot receive money back, so any winnings have to come out another way.
The AstroPay wallet is a verified account in the app. You load it by card, bank transfer or, in some countries, crypto, then pay a casino from the balance by confirming the payment in the app. The wallet can also receive payments from merchants, which is how casino withdrawals to AstroPay work. It is the product to use if you expect to withdraw.
AstroPay does not run the per-country gambling switch that Paysafe applies to Skrill and Neteller. That is the practical reason it works from a Gulf address when those two do not. The limit is at the loading stage: a UAE, Qatari or Kuwaiti bank may decline a card top-up to AstroPay if it treats the merchant as gambling-related, in which case a bank transfer or a reseller voucher gets around it.

22Bet. AstroPay for deposits and withdrawals, €10 minimum, no operator fees, e-wallet payouts within an hour once the internal review of 15 minutes to 48 hours is done. Gulf acceptance is affiliate-reported rather than read on the site, so expect the cashier to vary by country.
1xBet. Lists AstroPay across its Gulf subdomains but publishes no withdrawal time and no limits. It carries legal baggage a reader should weigh: founders under Russian arrest warrants, a bankrupt predecessor entity and a surrendered UK licence. Listed because it is widely used, not endorsed.
YYY Casino and 888 Casino Arabic do not list AstroPay. The closest equivalents there are Jeton at YYY and MuchBetter at both.
Depositing step by step
- Download the AstroPay app, register with your phone number and complete identity verification. Verification is required before the wallet can pay merchants or receive money.
- Decide between a card and the wallet. Buy an AstroPay Card if you only want to deposit a fixed amount once; load the wallet if you plan to withdraw to it later.
- Fund it. A bank transfer is the most reliable top-up from a Gulf account; a card top-up is faster but may be declined by the issuer. Choose USD if your casino account is in USD, which is the case at every casino on this page.
- At the casino cashier choose AstroPay. For a card, enter the code and value; for the wallet, enter the amount and approve the request in the app.

Withdrawing with AstroPay
Withdrawals are paid to the AstroPay wallet, never to a prepaid card, and only to a wallet in your own name. If you deposited with a card and have no wallet, the casino will ask you to open one or verify a different method, and that request is where most delays start. Open the wallet before your first withdrawal, not after.

Availability from the Gulf

Gambling by individuals is an offence in all five countries and AstroPay does not change that.
Fees and currency conversion
AstroPay makes its money in three places. Some top-up methods carry a fee, though a bank transfer is usually the cheapest. Currency conversion carries a margin whenever the card or wallet currency differs from the casino's account currency. Sending money out to a bank carries a transfer fee. The exact figures depend on your country and change without notice, so we do not print them; the app shows the fee before you confirm each transaction.
Every casino on this page holds accounts in USD, and the dirham, riyal and dinars are pegged to the dollar, so the only cost to manage is the spread. Buy the card or load the wallet in USD and you avoid conversion entirely on the way in. On the way out, keep the withdrawal in USD inside the wallet and convert once when you finally move it to a bank, rather than converting at each step.
