It’s time for gamers to have a little fun with the upcoming inaugural edition of POPC Live! The pop culture festival, celebrating esports, comics, music and YouTube content creators will be heading to Dubai for the first time in the region.

Entertainment company Waverick announced that it would be partnering with Galaxy Racer (GXR), a leading esports organization based in Dubai, to put together the big event in March 2022.
The festival will feature Middle East’s biggest esports, comics and Youtubers in the five-day event that will be filled with unique experiences and activities.
Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) is in support of the festival for its role in enforcing their vision for the city reinventing itself into a creative hub. POPC Live! and other events alike are some of the ways Dubai aims to showcase the city as a leading destination for culture, innovation and talent.
The gaming and entertainment industry’s biggest names will be attending the festival, which will include an expansive Esports Zone set up, tournaments, pop culture panels, workshops, conferences and concerts.
Gamers, esports and music fans will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with industry leaders and social media stars. This includes an all-embracing community event featuring every fan’s favourite elements; the Artists’ Alley, Cinema Club, celebrity meet-and-greets and much more.
The public will also be able to enjoy several community tournaments hosted by Galaxy Racer.
Anticipated highlights include PUBG Mobile, GIRLGAMER World Finals, League of Legends and DOTA2 tournaments hosted at the festival’s epic Esports Zone. In the lineup are tournaments that will see top international teams compete for millions of dirhams in prize money.
The festival’s exhibitor zone will feature some of the biggest gaming publishers, comic book houses, toy companies and film and TV brands. Even more, the state-of-the-art main stage will see an incredible line-up of regional and international music acts combined with a host of interactive performances.
