Payz is an e-wallet with a naming problem. Until 2023 it was called ecoPayz, and the rename never reached every casino cashier or review site, so a Gulf player searching for it finds two names and a reasonable suspicion that one is a clone. It is one wallet.
What earns it a page of its own is that it is a wallet and not a voucher. An AstroPay code or a paysafecard PIN can pay a casino but cannot be paid by one. Payz holds a balance, pays merchants and receives withdrawals, which puts it in the class of Skrill and Neteller. The catch is coverage: seven of the casinos we track list it, and neither of the two we rate highest is among them.
Payz and ecoPayz are the same wallet
The rebrand happened in 2023. The UK e-money business behind ecoPayz did not change hands, and accounts and balances carried over untouched. An old ecoPayz login opens a Payz account.
Merchants updated at their own pace and many still have not, so the old name survives on cashier icons and on affiliate pages that copied pre-2023 help articles. A few casinos show both, which looks like two methods and is one. If the cashier says ecoPayz, select it and log in with your Payz credentials. A young brand name is also easy to imitate, so reach the wallet from its own app or a bookmark.
What Payz is and how it works
A Payz account is tied to a verified identity and a country of residence. You load it by card or bank transfer, hold a balance in one of a long list of currencies, and pay a casino by choosing Payz at the cashier and confirming on the Payz login page. Withdrawals come back to the same account.
Two things matter at a cashier. Payz does not run the per-country gambling switch Paysafe applies to Skrill and Neteller, so a Gulf-registered account is not refused outright when it pays a casino; that puts it closer to Jeton and AstroPay than to its wallet rivals.
The other is the account tier. Payz grades accounts by level, and the level sets your transaction limits and the percentage you pay on top-ups, transfers out and conversion; verification and turnover move you up it. We give the mechanism and not the numbers, because thresholds and rates differ by country and are revised.
Which casinos accept Payz
22Bet. Payz sits alongside Skrill, Neteller, Jeton, MuchBetter and AstroPay. An internal review of 15 minutes to 48 hours runs first, then e-wallet payouts inside an hour. Minimum €10 either way, no global maximum, no operator fees. All five Gulf states are reported as accepted, but by affiliates rather than by the site itself. 22Bet review.
Betfinal. Deposits and withdrawals, e-wallet payouts quoted at 0 to 24 hours, a $20 minimum and a $5,000 per-transaction maximum inside a $20,000 daily cap; accounts in USD, EUR or GBP. Betfinal does not accept players in the UAE, so UAE readers should use one of the other casinos here. It also bans VPN use outright. Betfinal review.
Haz Casino. Payz sits in a long cashier list next to MiFinity, Jeton, AstroPay and paysafecard, and Haz holds EUR, USD and AED accounts. Withdrawals pass a 48 to 96 hour pending window before an e-wallet payout of up to 24 hours; minimum €30. Its Trustpilot record is poor: withheld withdrawals, accounts frozen after wins. Haz Casino review.
Rabona. Payz appears in Rabona's UAE listings, not on its European cashier page, so treat it as geo-dependent and test small. Withdrawals are processed within three business days by a Monday-to-Friday desk, then 0 to 24 hours; minimum €10, €500 a day and €7,000 a month at VIP level 1, rising to €1,500 a day at level 5. The UAE and Kuwait are confirmed, the other three are not. Rabona review.
N1 Bet. Payouts of 0 to 24 hours by method, a €20 minimum and a ceiling of €15,000 a month. Kuwait is restricted by N1 Bet's own terms, and no source confirms the other four Gulf states. Its complaint-handling record is the best in this group; the 50x wagering is not. N1 Bet review.
Two others in our set list Payz and are not options here. Playfina's own terms exclude players in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. JackpotCity lists it beside AED and QAR accounts, but no source confirms it accepts Gulf players, it publishes no withdrawal time and its site met our checks with a geo-block.
Depositing step by step
- Open a Payz account and verify your identity. An unverified account cannot pay merchants or receive money, and the tier you land on sets your limits.
- Load the balance. A bank transfer is the most reliable route from a Gulf account; a card top-up is faster but likelier to be declined.
- Hold the balance in the casino's currency: USD at 22Bet and Betfinal, EUR at Rabona and N1 Bet, EUR, USD or AED at Haz.
- At the cashier choose Payz, or ecoPayz if that is still the label, and confirm on the Payz login page.
- The balance updates within seconds. Set a deposit limit first; our responsible gambling page sets out each site's tools.
Withdrawing with Payz
This is where a wallet earns its place: because Payz can be paid as well as pay, you deposit and withdraw on one rail. Casinos pay back only to the Payz account you deposited from, verified in the same name, so upload documents at registration rather than when money is waiting.
Casino processing is the variable: within an hour at 22Bet once its review clears, 0 to 24 hours at Betfinal and N1 Bet, three business days plus 0 to 24 hours at Rabona, whose finance desk does not work weekends, and 48 to 96 hours pending plus up to 24 at Haz. Moving the balance on to a Gulf bank costs a fee set by your tier.
Availability from the Gulf
- UAE. Not in our realistic list: loading Payz from a UAE bank is unpredictable, and Betfinal does not accept UAE players. Rabona, Haz and 22Bet are the Payz options; AstroPay, Jeton and MuchBetter are the rails that work. UAE guide.
- Qatar. Not in the realistic list. Qatari cards are usually refused at gambling merchants, which makes the top-up the obstacle. Qatar guide.
- Kuwait. Not in the realistic list. KNET reaches no offshore wallet, Kuwaiti cards decline gambling codes and crypto is banned by the Central Bank. N1 Bet restricts Kuwait outright. Kuwait guide.
- Bahrain. Not in the realistic list, though top-ups are likelier to succeed here, and licensed exchanges make USDT cleaner. Bahrain guide.
- Oman. Not in the realistic list. Thawani and OmanNet reach no offshore merchant; a bank transfer does. Oman guide.
Gambling by individuals is an offence in all five countries, and paying through Payz changes none of that.
Fees, tiers and currency conversion
Payz charges where every wallet charges: on some top-up methods, on conversion whenever the wallet currency differs from the casino's, and on sending money out. Paying a merchant from the balance is the cheap part. What is different is that there is no single rate: your account level decides the percentage, so the only reliable figure is the one your account shows before you confirm.
The dirham, riyal and dinars are pegged to the dollar, so there is no exchange-rate risk, only the spread. Keep wallet and casino account in one currency and convert once at the end.
What our preferred casinos take instead
Neither YYY Casino nor 888 Casino Arabic lists Payz, and wanting it there will not put it in the cashier. If those are the sites you want, open MuchBetter instead: both accept it, and it is one of the easier wallets to open from the Gulf. Skrill and Neteller are listed at both too, but their gambling permissions depend on where the account is registered, which is the problem Payz does not have. YYY also takes Jeton, MiFinity, paysafecard and USDT; 888 Casino Arabic holds AED accounts.
Alternatives
Jeton and AstroPay cover the voucher-plus-wallet ground in all five Gulf states. MiFinity overlaps with Payz at Haz, Rabona and N1 Bet. For the fastest payouts where crypto is lawful to hold, see the USDT and crypto page. Every rail is compared on the payment methods hub.
